I don't ask for much but could you please help....

143 million orphans.......

What can I do???? I can't adopt them all??? How can I change the life of a child???? Every child deserves a family.

OK. I have told you guys about the great work that Half the Sky Foundation does in Chinese orphanages. I have told you how I believe that HTS made Lucy's transition as smooth as it could be given the circumstances. Now I am asking you to please help support their mission and help other orphans. (Can you imagine Lucy as an orphan?? So hard to do that now but she was)

Half the Sky is having an Art-A-Thon to help raise money to support their mission in China. I have teamed up with artist/illustrator Charla Pettingill (the awesome friend that made the artwork for LL's room!) to help with the artwork. She has graciously agreed to not only supply HTS with the artwork to display, but to donate something for us to giveaway on the blog.

So, I am going to go out of my element and ask you to please make a donation to HTS. They will use your money to continue their wonderful programs. (baby nurturing, pre-school, medical aid and education for orphans are a few things they do) Any amount will work. Anything will make a difference. Check out their web site here. Lucy is an amazing kid and these are the people who molded her first 3 years of life.
